These web pages are dedicated to Canadian Rockies mixed climbs, specifically
those called new wave (ie bolted) although a natural gear route may sneak
in. Some of these routes have been published in one of the climbing magazines,
Rock and Ice #89, but most have not been included in any local climbing
guides. There is no mention of any climbing techniques here, it is assumed
that you know what you are doing. The vast majority of these routes require
an expert's level of technique as the rock sections can be quite overhanging
and the ice can range up to WI6+. Very few of these routes can be toproped.
Joe Josephson's guide, Waterfall Ice, is the Canadian Rockies bible
for how-to advice on accomodations, access, etc.... The webpages were constructed for browsers that support layers, typically Netscape Communicator 4.0 and Internet Explorer 4.0. If you find that features don't work then use the links that are at the bottom of the pages. Enjoy your visit and safe climbing! |
